OxySure is Saving Lives

OxySure has already been used in hundreds of saves all across the US in a very short time. Our technology bridges the gap between the onset of a medical emergency and the time that first responders arrive at the scene. OxySure promises to deliver smart, easy-to-use technology that brings a sense of security and peace of mind.

Below, you will find the real stories of the lives that have been rescued because of OxySure.

On September 26, 2011, Kylee Shea, a 7th grader at Maus Middle School in Frisco, Texas was rushing to class when she had a sudden cardiac arrest and crumpled to the floor. Two quick-thinking schoolteachers, Brent Reese and Kristen Goodgion rushed within seconds to Kylee’s aid and applied CPR and used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to restart Kylee’s heart. Immediately after that, oxygen was administered using the OxySure Model 615.

“We are grateful for the quick actions of Brent and Kristen, and that the AED was available to revive Kylee’s heart,” said Sheryl Shea, Kylee’s mom.  “We are equally grateful for the OxySure unit being available to ensure that Kylee’s quality of life is restored. Through this incident, we have become passionate advocates for the universal availability of AEDs and OxySure - wherever there are people! That means, in both public access areas and in private places.” – Sheryl Shea, mother of Kylee

On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, Rylee was running athletic sprints at Scoggins Middle School (Frisco Independent School District) when she experienced extreme respiratory distress. She was unable to breathe effectively, had a rapid heart rate and was severely oxygen deprived. The school nurse administered OxySure, and her oxygen saturation levels were quickly restored. Without OxySure, Rylee may have been subject to a collapse.

“Rylee’s life was saved by the prompt and proficient use of the OxySure device and Epi-pen. Rylee was transported to the hospital by ambulance and by the time she arrived she was breathing normally.” – Susan Greenwood, mother of Rylee

On October 29, 2009, Wakeland High School student, Brody Justice fainted and suffered a respiratory arrest during baseball practice. Before he knew it, OxySure Model 615 was being successfully used to save his life.

In May of 2009, a total of four Frisco ISD students’ lives were saved within the first month of OxySure’s Model 615 implementation. An asthma attack followed by a student going into shock and two more sports-induced attacks later that month lead Frisco ISD high school athletic trainers to use OxySure to stabilize each student in the most critical moments.
